Sinus Crestal Approach Surgical Kit for Dental Implant
Some patients have limited crestal bone height in the posterior maxillary area. In such a case, Sinus elevation surgery has been required (necessitated) to increase bone quantity in the posterior maxilla for the fixation of root-type implants. Crestal approach is a minimally invasive alternative to the lateral approach sinus lift. This procedure entails utilization of the SCA kit which is a drilling tool on the crestal cortical, cancellous, and inferior cortical bone without tearing of the Schneiderian (maxillary sinus) membrane. SCA kit is the tool to elevate the maxillary sinus floor in an apical direction to create a space in that region as well as to make a perforation on the inferior cortical bone. SCA kit has a number of advantages over other commercially available sinus lifting tools. First, compared to others, the s-reamers provide fast drilling procedure typically operated at 800-1200 rpm. Second, the operation with SCA kit is simpler and much comfortable process for patient without malleting osteotome technique. Last, SCA kit offers safe operation with special designed blade and stoppers removing the damage of sinus membrane. |
